There are many issues that are common to situations involving sexual exploitation of clients by various types of professionals.  Even though we have divided these listings of articles into various categories, it is worthwhile to check out the articles in the other sections.

These articles are organized by topic, and within each topic,   labels articles which we host here at AdvocateWeb.org, and then we list links to articles at other sites, followed by references to printed publications.  Within the sub-groupings, there is no particular order by title or author.   Send us a note if you are aware of other good links to add, or if you are an author and wish to submit an article.

    These articles discuss legislation and rights of victims of Sexual Assault and other crimes.  Depending on your State Law, while Sexual Assault laws specify that the sexual contact must be without the victim's consent, an exception is in the case of a Mental Health Service Provider having a sexual relationship with a client through the exploitation of their emotional dependency.  Under this condition, this form of exploitation is considerd by the Laws to be Sexual Assault.   You must check the specific laws in your state.   The National Victim Center
