Integrity
by Allara
"Our spiritual center is to inspire integrity."
That's what they say
Then let me ask you shouldn't it be
That the minister of the church have integrity?
But again and again you only show
Integrity is a word you do not know
A virtue you left behind
The day you crossed that sacred line.
Why, oh why do I always find
Betrayal after betrayal by your hand
Lies from your lips
Destruction in your fingertips?
How do you look yourself in the mirror?
Another thing I'd like to know
Are you so delusional you do not hear
The conscience inside that surely must speak
Of the havoc and pain you so casually wreaked?
So I recently heard you've been suspended
A forbidden relationship you defended
Now you won't cooperate with their plan
To rehabilitate you into a trustworthy man.
You sit at a table, to your lawyer you lie
I imagine you probably even cry
"She's lying, she's lying"
that's what you say
For your own mistakes you refuse to pay
But guess what you pathetic excuse for a man
(Much less a reverend)
It is time you now mend
The shattered pieces of my soul
The sorrow and rage you pretend didn't grow
From the unholy "love" you showered me in
Surely my "reverend" you should have known
We get what we give and you gave me pain
Now it's my turn to give you the same
Yes now it is time, the tables have turned
This battle I'll win and you'll pay for your sin.
